If you're been following the latest electronic music news the last couple of years, you've undoubtedly come across Kiasmos. The highly acclaimed duo has graced stages across the globe performing alongside notable acts such as M83, Black CoffeeBonobo, alt-J and many many more. That is why this release is so exciting. One half of the Kiasmos duo, Janus Rasmussen, has announced that he will be releasing his debut solo album, Vín, on the 8th of March via Christian Löffler's Ki Records.  Alongside this exciting announcement, he also shared a track and a music video from this album in the form of 'Green Wine'.

Masterfully created by the use of shadow puppets, the video follows the legend of Kópakonan; one of the most famous folklore tales from the Faroe Islands, where Janus is from.
Without spoiling the stunning music video, here is a quick summary of the tale of the 'Seal Woman':

Seals were believed to be former human beings who voluntarily sought death in the ocean. Once a year, on the Thirteenth night, they were allowed to come on land, strip off their skins and amuse themselves as human beings, dancing and enjoying themselves. On this night, a young farmer fell in love with the human form of one of the seals and took her seal skin. He refused to give it back to her and placed in in a chest; forcing her to be his wife and bear his children. But, she always longed to go back to the ocean... For the full tale, have a look here as the video follows just over half of the full tale.
